St. Patrick's Day Cocktails  

 

Dublin Handshake

1/2 oz Baileys Irish cream
1/2 oz Irish whiskey
3/4 oz Sloe gin
 

Combine in shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into rocks glass with ice.

Irish Kiss

3/4 oz. Irish whiskey
1/2 oz. peach schnapps
4 oz. ginger ale
2 oz. orange juice

Combine in an ice cube-filled Collins or specialty glass. Garnish with lime.

 

Irish Coffee

1/4 cup hot, strong, black coffee
1-2 tsp sugar
1 large measure Irish whiskey
1-2 tbsp lightly - whipped whipping cream

Heat a whiskey glass by filling with hot water, pour out then refill the glass with boiling water.  Empty the glass again, then pour in coffee between 1/2 and 3/4 full and add sugar. Stir to dissolve, then add the whiskey. Pour the cream over the back of a spoon to float on top.

Drink the hot liquid through the cool cream.

Hot Whiskey, or 'Hot Irish'

boiling water
1-2 tsp sugar
1 shot Irish whiskey
Lemon wedge
2 whole cloves

Heat a whiskey glass as above. Pour in fresh boiling water to more than half full, dissolve sugar to taste, add the whiskey, a slice of lemon and the cloves. Serve at once.
